Politics is not at the top of the priority list for many in this harrowing time, but with a critical election looming this fall I wanted to get in touch with you regarding IATSE PAC.

With virtually all our industry out of work, I understand the stark reality of the economic strain you must be facing. My department’s first priority, as you have seen in our relentless legislative efforts, is to get relief for you and ensure you can endure this pandemic until a safe return to work is possible. Kitchen table issues and your livelihood come first. However, make no mistake that anti-worker politicians and organizations are hoping our union’s political resources are diminished by this crisis so they can have the field to themselves.

Like yourself, we are dedicated volunteers and the primary infrastructure of our Alliance’s political and legislative activism. Your IATSE kin follow your lead with the types of activism you pursue in the local’s political program, which is why I’m making this appeal to you. I recognize that many do not have supplemental resources as a result of this crisis, but if you do, there’s no more vital of a time to start giving.
